We believe Aotearoa should have a compassionate justice system that prioritises prevention, restoration, help and support.

Instead of spending billions on prisons each year, we should focus our efforts on supporting communities, lifting incomes, ensuring well-funded mental health and addiction services are available to all and that hapū and iwi have the resources they need to lead their own solutions.

Examples of our work include:

• Our successful campaign to end the trial of armed police
• Our advocacy that resulted in a significant increase in government funding to sexual and mental health services
• Our research into Māori perspectives on the justice system and our work to amplify the findings

Our team works hard to ensure even the smallest contributions go a long way. No amount is too small and all donations will help build a better, fairer, more beautiful and just Aotearoa New Zealand.
